Hi there! My name is Adam, and I am a graduate teaching assistant working on my Ph.D. in the Composition and Rhetoric program at University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
I’m energized by community/classroom collaborations. I’m currently serving as co-director of the Nebraska Writing Project, where I am enjoying a rich collaboration with the National Parks, the College, Career, and Community Writers Program, and the Husker Writers Program. I’m also serving as the co-director for the Writing Lincoln Initiative, and formerly as associate composition coordinator for UNL’s English Department.
My research-centering on issues of rhetorical agency-is focused on understanding the role of the public sphere in composition pedagogy, disability justice and rhetoric, civic engagement, activism and advocacy, and social justice. I’m humbled and honored to be the recipient of UNL’s 2019-2020 Maude Hammond Fling Fellowship, UNL’s 2019 Student Luminary Award as well as the Nebraska Writing Project’s 2018 Teacher of the Year.
